Inaugurated in June 2004, the Marina of Angra do Heroísmo is a modern facility with a capacity for about 260 boats. During the day, Monte do Brasil serves as a reference point, and at night, the Monte Brasil Lighthouse guides vessels to the entrance of the anchorage. Protected by a breakwater, the Marina has its most challenging navigation point at the W anchorage, near Baixa da Prainha.
