The Império do Espírito Santo dos Inocentes da Guarita, built in 1901 on Guarita Street, in the parish of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, Angra do Heroísmo, celebrates its worship in the months of July/August. The celebration follows traditional procedures, starting with the transfer of the crown to the empire, followed by the evening rosary. The program includes religious and cultural activities, such as “Pezinho,” Ceia dos Criadores, and Singing, along with a procession and solemn mass at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. The celebration concludes with the selection of emperors and a bullfight on Guarita Street.
