The Império do Espírito Santo da Ladeira Branca in the parish of Santa Luzia, Angra do Heroísmo, was built in 1926. It celebrates the worship of the Holy Spirit on the 5th Sunday after Easter, during the Procession of the Festivities of the Holy Christ of Miracles, in Ponta Delgada. In addition to the religious aspects, the festivities include cultural initiatives such as “pezinho” (traditional dance), popular music, pig slaughter, fair, and bodo de leite. The celebration ends with a solemn mass, procession, bread distribution, concerts, auctions, and bullfights.
