The Império do Espírito Santo dos Regatos, located in the parish of São Bartolomeu, Angra do Heroísmo, was built in 1958 and celebrates the cult of the Holy Spirit on the last Sunday of July. The week prior to the festival includes the recitation of the rosary. The event features a large cultural program, including music, singing, livestock exhibitions, and bullfights. On the festival Sunday, there is a gathering for the coronation, a mass, a procession with a philharmonic band, and in the afternoon, the appointment of those responsible for the next year’s festival. The following week, another bullfight takes place.
