The Empire of the Holy Spirit of Rua de Baixo de São Pedro, built in 1877 in the parish of São Pedro, Angra do Heroísmo, celebrates its festival in July, with religious and cultural activities. It begins with the procession for the changing of the crown on Saturday, followed by daily prayers, lighting, and a bazaar. There is a blessing and distribution of meat, musical performances, ‘pezinho’ on Thursday, and singing in the evening. At night, there is the drawing of lots and the appointment of the Commission.
